Haseeb Aziz

Haseeb Aziz is a Managing Director of H.I.G. WhiteHorse and focuses on the European direct lending activities of the firm.

Haseeb has over twenty years of investment banking, strategy consulting and direct investing experience in Europe. Prior to joining H.I.G. WhiteHorse, Haseeb was at Hutton Collins Partners LLP, a specialist mezzanine and preferred equity fund manager with over €1 Billion under management, for ten years where he was a Partner and responsible for originating, structuring and executing subordinated debt and equity financings. He also represented Hutton Collins on the board of a number of investee companies. Prior to Hutton Collins, Haseeb was a member of the investment team at Mezzanine Management, a $530 Million mezzanine fund, and was a vice president in the European leveraged finance group at Merrill Lynch. He has also worked at Marakon Associates, a strategy consulting firm, Deutsche Bank in private debt placements, and Morgan Stanley in mergers and acquisitions.

Haseeb holds a BA Honours degree in Chemistry from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD.

John Bolduc

John Bolduc

John is Executive Managing Director of Bayside Capital. Since joining H.I.G. in 1993, he has been responsible for investment origination, transaction negotiation, and portfolio company oversight.

John has more than twenty years experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and strategic consulting. He has led or participated in more than 50 successful middle market transactions with a combined aggregate value of more than $3 billion.

Before joining H.I.G. Capital, John directed domestic and international assignments for Fortune 500 clients at Bain & Company, a leading worldwide management-consulting firm. His assignments focused on distribution strategy, manufacturing effectiveness and organizational design across a wide variety of industries. Prior to Bain & Company, John was the Assistant to the President of Chemed Corporation, (CHE, NYSE), a $500 million specialty chemical company.

John received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.

Jay Carvell

Jay Carvell

Jay is a Managing Director of H.I.G. WhiteHorse. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, structuring, post-close strategies, as well as portfolio management.

Prior to H.I.G. WhiteHorse, Jay was a founding partner of WhiteHorse Capital Partners, L.P., a leading credit investor and manager of Collateralized Loan Obligations. At WhiteHorse, he co-managed portfolios of par and distressed loans across numerous industries and sectors through a variety of market cycles. Prior to founding WhiteHorse, Jay was with Highland Capital Management and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Jay earned both a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Javier Casillas

Javier Casillas

Javier is a Principal with H.I.G. Whitehorse. Since joining H.I.G. in 2006, Javier has worked on a wide range of investments, including direct loans, recapitalizations, and secondary market debt purchases. Most recently, Javier has been particularly active in the sourcing, execution, and monitoring of middle market credit investments across several industries, including healthcare, business services, and specialty finance.

Javier has over ten years of experience in investment banking and principal investing. He began his career with JP Morgan's M&A team, and previous to H.I.G. worked with ING, playing an early role in the bank's efforts to lead locally denominated bond offerings for international issuers.

Javier received a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.

Samuel Goldworm

Samuel Goldworm

Sam is a Principal of H.I.G. WhiteHorse based in New York. Sam is involved in all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction structuring and execution.

Sam has over eleven years of credit investing experience in a broad range of industries, including media, telecommunications, business services, retail, industrial, and specialty finance. Before joining H.I.G., Sam was a Vice President with Cerberus Capital Management. In this role, he was responsible for the origination, structuring, execution and monitoring of private debt investments. Prior to Cerberus, Sam worked in the leverage finance and mergers & acquisitions groups at Salomon Brothers.

Sam received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Denison University and a dual M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and London Business School.

Pankaj Gupta

Pankaj Gupta

Pankaj is a Managing Director of H.I.G. WhiteHorse. Pankaj is involved in all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing growth strategies. He has over fourteen years of experience in private debt and equity investing across a broad range of industries, including business services, manufacturing, distribution, telecom, healthcare, consumer products and consumer services.

Before joining Whitehorse, Pankaj was a Managing Director with American Capital (NASDAQ:ACAS), a middle-market investment firm. While at ACAS, he was a co-head of the debt investment business. Pankaj also sat on the Board of Directors of several ACAS portfolio companies. Prior to ACAS, Pankaj spent six years at Audax Group, a Boston and New York-based private equity and mezzanine firm with $5 billion under management. As a Senior Vice President with Audax, Mr. Gupta was responsible for the origination, structuring, execution and monitoring of mezzanine investments. Prior to Audax, Mr. Gupta was an Associate in the Private Equity group of Whitney & Co, and prior to Whitney, he was an Analyst in the High Yield and Merchant Banking Group of CIBC World Markets.

Pankaj received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Michael is a Principal with H.I.G. Whitehorse. Based in Chicago, Michael is responsible for sourcing and executing middle market debt financings for private equity sponsored and non-sponsored transactions. As a senior business development officer, Michael has primary responsibility for managing key relationships throughout the Midwest. Michael has significant experience across a wide range of industries, including business services, education, food, healthcare, industrial, and specialty finance.

Michael has over twelve years of experience in investment banking and principal investing. He has held positions with Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal and Prudential Securities Investment Banking. Prior to H.I.G., Michael was a senior investment professional with American Capital, providing debt and equity capital to middle market companies.

Michael received a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University and an M.B.A. from Chicago University's Booth School of Business.

Stefan Lindemann

Stefan Lindemann

Stefan Lindemann, Director, Spain. Stefan focuses on sourcing and executing transactions in Spain.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Stefan was a Managing Director for the Spanish construction group ACS in Madrid, leading a group responsible for optimizing the capital structure as well as divesting selected subsidiary group companies throughout the world. Before that, he was a Managing Director at the credit hedge fund Aladdin Capital Management in London, after almost 20 years in investment banking, where his most recent role was Head of Dresdner Kleinwort's investment banking business for Spain and Portugal.

Stefan speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese, English and German. He has a BSc Hons in Economics & Accountancy from the City University, London.

Appu Mundassery

Appu Mundassery

Appu Mundassery is a Managing Director of Bayside Capital and leads the European distressed debt activities of the firm.

Appu has over 15 years of experience in leveraged finance, credit investments, restructurings and operational turnarounds, both in Europe and the US. He has managed portfolios in excess of $5 billion, including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds and restructured equity.

Prior to joining Bayside, Appu was a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at Highland Capital Management Europe based in London, where he helped found the London office and directed its growth for 5 years. Appu was also an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and CSFB, where he worked on several leveraged finance, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions transactions.

Appu received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics & Economics from Brown University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.

Lewis is a Managing Director of H.I.G. Capital. Since joining H.I.G, Lewis has been involved in all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing growth strategies. He currently serves on the board of numerous H.I.G. Capital portfolio companies.

Lewis has over ten years of private equity investing experience in a broad range of industries, including business services, manufacturing, distribution, telecom and healthcare. Before joining H.I.G., Lewis was a Director with Levine Leichtman Capital Partners. In this role, he was responsible for investment analysis and working with the management of portfolio companies to create value. Prior to Levine Leichtman, Lewis worked in the private equity group at ABN AMRO and in Banc of America's leveraged finance group.

Lewis received a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Kelly Stotler

Kelly Stotler

Kelly is a Principal with H.I.G. Whitehorse. Since joining H.I.G., Kelly has been responsible for sourcing and executing middle market direct lending opportunities.

Kelly has over ten years of experience in middle market leveraged finance and principal investing. Prior to H.I.G., Kelly was a Managing Director with Laurus Capital Management, a $2B credit oriented hedge fund, where he sourced, executed, and monitored middle market senior and junior capital debt investments and non-control equity investments. Prior to Laurus, Kelly was a Vice President with GE Capital where he executed and managed middle market leveraged finance transactions, asset backed securitizations, and spent time in their capital markets group.

Kelly received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an M.B.A from the University of Florida.

Patrick White

Patrick White

Patrick is a Principal with H.I.G. WhiteHorse where he is responsible for the fund's activities primarily in the Western U.S. and Canada. Patrick has over ten years of experience in middle market finance, providing junior debt, senior debt and minority equity to businesses in support of acquisitions, refinancings, recapitalizations and growth. Patrick has extensive experience as an originator, underwriter and portfolio manager, and has specific expertise in the healthcare services, business services and IT services industries.

Prior to H.I.G. WhiteHorse, Patrick worked in investment banking and principal finance with American Capital, Wells Fargo Foothill and Houlihan Lokey. Additionally, Patrick is an Iraq War Veteran where he served in numerous combat leadership roles as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army.

Patrick received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington and Lee University.

Jarred is a Managing Director of H.I.G. WhiteHorse. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, structuring, post-close strategies, as well as portfolio management and structuring of funds.

Prior to H.I.G. WhiteHorse, Jarred was a founding partner of WhiteHorse Capital Partners, L.P., a leading credit investor and manager of Collateralized Loan Obligations. At WhiteHorse, he co-managed portfolios of par and distressed loans across numerous industries and sectors through a variety of market cycles. Prior to founding WhiteHorse, Jarred was with Highland Capital Management and began his career at Bank One.

Jarred earned a B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
